Marianne Swift

Marianne’s love for yoga began over 13 years ago, when she moved from Scotland to Bristol, at that point she had no idea how deeply she would fall for yoga, and Bristol! A keen adventurer, climber and cyclist, yoga became a tool for life, helping her to discover and learn more deeply about her body and mind. Yoga has brought her so much joy, Marianne is passionate about sharing this, and inviting others to be inquisitive and connect to their bodies.

Marianne went on to qualify as a yoga teacher here in Bristol, teaching hatha flow and slow flow predominantly. Her intention as a yoga facilitator is to help empower others to tune in to their own bodies, developing a feel-good yoga practice that is unique to them, whether it is for someone looking to build strength, or find deeper relaxation, or someone who is just curious to try this yoga business out! Or any other reason! She would love for you to come and join one of her classes.

Her teaching style is playful, intuitive, and mindful; her classes are both energising and nourishing, with a focus on creative, fluid movement and finding that sweet spot of softening and building heat in the body. You can expect to build strength, flexibility, cultivate deeper breath awareness and find a movement practice that works for you.

Marianne qualified as a 200hour Yoga Alliance yoga teacher at Bristol School of Yoga, she is also soon to complete her Yoga Nidra training (40hours Yoga Alliance recognised) and is currently completing a diploma on Mindfulness.
